COST Vendor & Vehicle Exposition 2008

Save the Date...COST Vendor Expo 2008 - Friday, September 19, 2008

The New Jersey Council on Special Transportation's 13th Annual COST Vendor Expo will be held at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel on Friday, September 19, 2008.  This year, the Expo is expecting more than 160 paratransit and community transportation, directors, planners, coordinators and support staff attended.

Last year's exhibitors included:  Shepard Brothers, Arcola, American Bus & Coach, Accessible Vans & Mobility, Freedman Seating, Sure-Lok,  The Braun Corporation,  ABT Products & Services, Q-Straint,  RouteMatch Software,  Factory Direct Bus Sales, Insight Fleet Services, Ricon Corp, TranSched/Ontira, Trapeze Group, Truck King International, Firetrace USA, NJ Transit, NJ Council on Special Transportation, E-Z Ride, Engraph, InterMotive, INIT - Innovations in Transportation, Inc., Maxon Mobility

This year, two workshops will be offered.  A roundtable discussion regarding New Jersey’s Community Transportation funding reductions and long-term solutions for future funding will be offered for transportation administrators, managers, planners and supervisors.  Invitations inviting other organizations that may be impacted by reductions in transportation services have been invited to join in this discussion.  This workshop will be facilitated by CTAA’s Regional United We Ride Ambassador, Rex Knowlton.

The second workshop being offered also begins to prepare for possible trip reductions and will focus on telephone operators and schedulers.  Michael Noel of Lazaro & Noel will focus his presentation on How to deal with callers who may become upset when the ride they need is not available.

In addition to the workshops being offered, there will be more than 25 inside and outdoor exhibitors displaying their paratransit and community transportation products and services.
